Great Great Aunt

She is my maternal Grandmother's Aunt on her mother's side. My grandma couldn't remember which of her mother's sisters she is, so I don't have a name for her. Although her maiden name was definitely Eagan.

Even though I don't know her name I know we are inherently connected because of genetics and biology. Specifically, that is partically because of how the production of eggs in the human body occurs. When a female child is born they are born with all their eggs already fully formed in the womb of their mother. for instance, the egg that eventually formed me was formed inside my grandmother, and the egg that formed my grandmother was formed inside her grandmother. It is known that the outside circumstances of the pregnant mother such as the overproduction or underproduction of cortisol levels (stress hormones) affect the children and by extension the children's children. This means me and my great-great aunty have may more in common than one might assume.

I wanted to see exactly how much DNA me and mystery aunty shared. It turns out that science is difficult to understand and DNA is measured in cM which is different than cm. I'm fairly sure that she and I share around 5% of the same DNA.
